Helen and Gaël Mundutéguy are both qualified mountain leaders. They’ll be happy to take you out for gentle walks or mountain hikes to discover
the Comminges countryside and mountains. While guiding you along country paths or through the Pyrenees, they’ll also tell you about local wildlife,
traditions and the French “way of life”. Helen was born in England but has been living in France for over 20 years and speaks both perfect French
and English. Gaël also speaks very good English (with a slight French accent!)
Based in a tiny hamlet called Lôo, one of the 11 hamlet of the parish
of Sauveterre de Comminges, Helen and Gaël offer both foothill walks and high mountain hikes in the Central Pyrénées.
Gentle family strolls, strenuous hiking or
multi-day treks either camping or sleeping in mountain huts: something for everyone.
Helen and Gaël can also take you on one of their “donkey walks” along the shady paths around the villages of Sauveterre de Comminges where they live.
Great fun for all … the kids with love it!
You can also hire a donkey for the day (or ½-day) and set off on your own (a selection of walks with
instructions and maps are provided).
Gentle and generally good-natured, if patience is a virtue then donkeys must be very virtuous ! Come and have fun
with our long-eared friends: Shinto (the hero of Tim Moore's Travels with my donkey), Quinoa, Scoub and Aladin.
