English / French bilingual translator

Although I was born in Oxford and learn English as my mother tongue, my family moved to France in my early teens and I therefore learnt to speak and write perfect French. I’ve now been living in France for nearly 20 years and speak fluently both English and French.

My expertise in the biomedical field (Ph.D. degree) means that I my translations are both scientifically and linguistically flawless.

Professional experience

Scientific / biomedical translation

English into French : medical and scientific articles (biology, pharmacology, chemistry, ecology) ; interviews ; pharmaceutical specifications ; etc.

French into English : clinical research projects ; laboratory procedures ; scientific/medical paragraphs of patents ; pharmaceutical specifications ; marketing authorisation applications ; etc.

Non-scientific translation

- the website of a French trekking agency
- "Hike safe in the Pyrenees" leaflet, 2008

My research work

1995 and 1996 Project on gene expression in beta-thalassemia
Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford University

During my research work, I spent a significant amount of my time writing research projects, scientific articles and applications for funding in both French and English.

My other activity : mountain leader

Since 2006 I also work part time as a fully qualified mountain leader in the Pyrénées.

Here are a few examples of the projects I have worked on :

"La Montagne aux Ecritures" (Mountains of writing)

FANY’S Queen’s Corp
